Beach
Weddings
Here at Butler's Gift Shoppe we agree that a beach
wedding is special because of the relaxed atmosphere and romantic
setting. Nothing could be more special than foaming waves breaking
on the sand or a tropical shoreline framed with lush palms.
It does have some drawback if you want sunny skies.
Contact the town's chamber of commerce to find out your best
chance for sun. Visit the Navy web-site (www.usno.navy.mil)
to find out about the weather and tides.
Let guests know that the wedding will be on the
beach so they will dress appropriately. High heels and an elaborate
gown will not be appropriate for the bride. A lightweight fabric
is the best choice. The bride can go barefoot or wear flat sandals.
Flowers in her hair are safer than a veil. If she does wear a
veil, make sure it is weighted at the bottom so it does not flap
or go airborne.
The groom should also dress informally. To avoid
sunburn, and for an extra glow, sunscreen should be applied!
